Preparing for the test required by your study project
Admission to an international institution may depend on achieving a specific score in a language test or admissions examination. MarcoPolo Global Education offers online or in-person preparation suited to the relevant test, the applicant’s current level, target score and application timetable. Our offer is deliberately focused on four tests directly connected to the destinations we support: the TCF Tout public, TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic and SAT.
The test an applicant must take depends on the destination country, institution, programme, level of study and applicable admission requirements. Two applicants targeting the same destination may therefore need to prepare for different certifications or achieve different scores. Before beginning any preparation, it is essential to verify which test is accepted by the institutions concerned, the minimum score required, any minimum scores imposed for individual skills and the deadline for submitting the results.
MarcoPolo Global Education has chosen to focus its offer on three tests used to demonstrate proficiency in French or English, together with one admissions test used for certain applications to institutions in the United States. This deliberately limited selection makes it possible to offer preparation that is coherent with the projects we support, rather than an indiscriminate list of certifications unrelated to the destinations covered. Each test has a dedicated page explaining its purpose, intended applicants and role within the admissions process.
Preparation for the TCF Tout public, TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic and SAT may be completed online or in person. The programme offered takes account of the relevant test, the applicant’s objective, target score, current level and international study timetable.
The TCF Tout public assesses an applicant’s level of French for a range of academic or administrative purposes. It may be required for certain applications to French higher-education institutions. When the applicant is subject to the demande d’admission préalable procedure, the tests required within that framework must be taken into account when organising their preparation.

The TOEFL iBT assesses an applicant’s ability to use English in an academic environment. It is recognised by many higher-education institutions and may be required for admission to a programme taught in English. The expected score varies according to the programme, level of study and individual requirements of each institution.

IELTS Academic is intended for applicants who must demonstrate their command of English in order to pursue higher education in an international environment. Institutions may set a minimum overall score as well as specific minimum results for individual skills. Preparation must therefore be aligned with the precise requirements of the programmes to which the applicant intends to apply.

The SAT is an admissions test used by certain American institutions when assessing undergraduate applications. It primarily evaluates reading and writing skills together with the mathematical skills required for higher education. Its relevance depends on the admissions policy of the institutions selected by the applicant.
Explore the SATPreparation and official test-taking are two separate stages. The applicant must register separately with the organisation officially responsible for the test, select a session compatible with the application timetable and subsequently submit the results to the institutions concerned. When test preparation forms part of a wider support service, MarcoPolo Global Education ensures that these deadlines are incorporated into the overall application schedule.
Relevant preparation must take account of the certifications accepted by the institutions, the required score, the applicant’s current level and the time available before applications are submitted. These factors make it possible to define a preparation framework that is compatible with the actual requirements of the project.
Appropriate preparation helps the applicant understand the examination, strengthen the skills assessed and approach the test under better conditions. The final result nevertheless depends on the applicant’s initial level, attendance, personal work, preparation time and performance on the day of the examination. MarcoPolo Global Education cannot therefore guarantee a specific score.
